Life size Deer

Deer

Private collection

Life scale 2005

To create this piece, construction begins from the ground up, literally starting with the feet and working upwards.  It’s difficult before the legs are attached, being unwieldy, they seem proportionately incorrect for lack of a means of comparison.  After the limbs are connected to support the body, the complete deer is built up “in situ” using the real time visual feedback of seeing the anatomy unfold.
