Cor-ten steel Parallax Totem

Parallax Totem

Albany NY

Cor-ten steel 13 ft. Tall 2007

Other works using the
Parallax concept:

Of the three sculptures in the parallax project, Parallax Totem represents that reservoir of illicit drives - the id, the Head represents the ego, and the Man- the super-ego. The Head is rational, logical and calculating, the Man embodies the total being, and the Totem is abstract and mysterious, its sinuous curves hinting at the sensuality of the female form and at the same time reminiscent of DNA – the building block of life.

Seen here installed on the grounds of the SUNY administration building in Albany NY, as part of the Sculpture in the Streets exibition in 2007.
