"Day of the Dead" (Día de Muertos) is a traditional holiday celebrated throughout Mexico. The holiday focuses on remembering friends and family members who have died. This piece is inspired by the traditional imagery associated with the Day of the Dead celebrations. The skeletal figure wields two six-guns and holds symbols of time and luck within his ribcage. He stands in front of a cross as if crucified, a reference to "All Saint's Day", the Roman Catholic equivalent of Day of the Dead.
