Donald Gialanella - Metal Sculpture

Common objects reinterpreted as cultural icons depict the progressive ideals of Los Angeles with a focus on creative recycling. A row of bronzed Barbie dolls in sunglasses embodies California's beaches and lifestyle. Above them sit flowers made from reclaimed stainless steel spoons.  Across the bottom swims a dimensional Pacific Ocean Steelhead hammered out of a single piece of recycled iron.
