The Three Little Pigs and the Big Bad Buddha

The Three Little Pigs and the Big Bad Buddha

Private collection

11.5" x 5" x 8 " Stainless steel, ceramic, bronze. 2013

The three little pigs in this sculpture represent the three Jewels of Buddhism - the three things that Buddhists take refuge in, and look to for guidance. They are the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha.

The figures sit atop a piece of electronic technology to indicate the acceptance of sciencentific advancement. Buddhists say no piece of technology is intrinsically good or bad. What matters is how the technology is utilized.
