Life scale 2004
This life scale sculpture is made up of hundreds of randomly shaped pieces of recycled steel welded into anatomically correct positiont.
At first glance, the piece appears to be complete, but then one soon notices that the Lioness is made from various layers of its internal and external anatomy. Bones, muscles and skin are intermingled giving the impression of looking inside the creature at various depths simultaneously. The surface details are made of various negative shapes depicting lizards, birds and other creatures that can be interpreted as being images of the animals the Lioness ate.
