I revisited this insect subject to create what I hope is a more viseral rendition than my previous interpretations.

Growing up in New Jersey I had plenty of opportunity to observe mosquitos in all their incredible stages of development. This piece depicts one ready to insert her blood sucking proboscis, tipping up her abdomen with hind legs raised in the air.
