Cynosure

 “Cynosure'', means one that serves to direct or guide. The sculpture symbolizes a firm foundation in business, represented by the building block design, and continued growth, represented by the upward pointing arrow. 

The blocks meld together moving upwards to form one solid slab. This illustrates reaching solutions to modernize businesses and customer experiences - like puzzle pieces coming together to create a cohesive whole. It moves from disorder at ground level to solid structure at the top. It’s a visual analogy for organizing entropy to achieve success.

The distinctive profile of the human head stands for innovative thinking - the intellect behind FIS. Upward progress, the arrow, is the “brain” of the image. It intersects with a circular eye that gives an identity to the sculpture.

To add layers of meaning to Cynosure, monetary symbols and designs representing various business technologies are etched into the blocks.
